THE FLASH è una di quelle colonne sonore che non osavo sperare di vedere pubblicate, almeno per ora. Queste musiche sono senz'altro il mio lavoro preferito di Shirley Walker.
Non vedo l'ora di vedere il pacco contenente il 2 cd-set giacere sopra la mia cassetta della posta.

Certo che alla La-La Land va riconosciuto il merito di essersi scavati questa nicchia per cui alla fine risultano gli unici a pubblicare chicche del genere (musiche da serie tv, cartoni direct-to-dvd, serie a cartoni animati, videogames), che le altre case discografiche ben difficilmente prenderebbero in considerazione, persino le più specializzate come FSM, Intrada o Krizerland, che al contrario sono per lo più orientate verso le musiche per il grande schermo.

Wow, la mitica serie di FLASH , viste e riviste tutte le puntate registate tutte su VHS ,...poi dopo anni finalmente sono riuscito ad avere i dvd !!!
Che colpo la LA-LA LAND RECORD !!!!!!!!!!!

Dico solo che FLASH è a mio giudizio un GRAN BEL DOPPIO CD!
Mamma mia quanta musica, scritta in maniera eccellente !
Una Shirley Walker in vena, una grande curiosità che mi ha assalito , MA QUANTA MUSICA HO SENTITO IN QUESTO CD e CHE TROVO ARRANGIANTA DIVERSAMENTE NEL PRIMO BATMAN ???!!!????
Il problema ma quanto ha messo di suo nel lavoro di Elfman del primo Batman, penso che la bravissima Walker abbia dato molto del suo nel lavoro di Elfman!!!!! |

Allora, giudizi su questo THE FLASH? Da parte mia dico che la musica dell'episodio pilota è stratosferica, il resto l'ho sentito poco, ma riprende la musica del pilot più altra musica per gran parte jazz tipo piano bar...

Più che Jazz, direi musica dal carettere Swing, anni 40-50 stile Louis Prima & Benny Goodman, una musica che si fa ascoltare, dove ogni brano direi è frizzante !
Un piccolo gioiello musicale direi, dove la Walker ha cesellato al meglio il suo modo di scrivere dando quella spruzzata di vena musicale anni 40 !
Il primo cd invece come dicevo già in precedenza sembra un sequel stratosferico di batman ! |

Sì hai ragione Bruno, swing.
Quando mi inoltro in un campo che non conosco (come appunto questi generi musicali) spesso sparo dei nomi così a casaccio senza saperne il significato.
Tornando a THE FLASH, al di fuori del pilot ci sono dei pezzetti qua e là che sono una meraviglia, vedi ad esempio il brano 31 "Murph The Flash", un pezzo che sembra provenire da THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL di Herrmann.

Mi piacerebbe farti sapere qualcosa, ma sono rimasto in arretrato con molti altri CD. E in più oggi mi sono arrivati RAZOR/THE PLAN di McCreary e LOVE HAPPENS di Young. AIUTO!!!!!!!

Povero Danny... non c'è proprio speranza: questo genere di insinuazioni lo perseguiterà fino alla tomba e probabilmente oltre.
Se Goldsmith avesse diretto le musiche di BATMAN, dopo l'uscita di THE SHADOW si sarebbe detto che il buon Jerry in realtà aveva scritto anche le musiche per il film di Burton!
